Valentine's Day Gifts - Love Baskets with Meaning & Value

Put some snap in your Valentine's Day Gift with a Love Basket created just for your favorite Sweetheart! You'll enjoy the results, and your lover will know you mean it when she hears those three precious words. Love Baskets are created once and used for a lifetime. Just start with a medium sized basket, lid is optional, but the handle is necessary. You'll want a nice sturdy handle!

Step #1 - Line your Love Basket

The liner is important, because you'll use the liner often for other purposes. One of the best liner choices is a patterned cloth in a smooth weave with a hemmed edge. This can be one layer or reversible, but you'll want something nice and soft. Remember your lover's tastes when choosing the pattern, but think romance.

Step #2 - Love Basket Essentials

A set of crystal goblets meant for two. If by some chance you have a set from your wedding, you can use those. Or if not, buy a nice set of stemmed and fluted goblets from the store and tie a pretty ribbon around the stem. Add a bottle of your favorite bubbly (non-alcoholic grape juice is a nice alternative) and some white linen napkins. You now have the essentials for your basket, everything from this point on is optional, but you'll want to consider filling it up.

Step #3 - Setting the Scene

Table service and flatware for two is always a nice additional touch. You never know when that scene might include a wonderful menu to share. There are some nice simple dishes you could add to your basket at any discount center, just select the ones you find most appealing, add silverware and a sharp knife with a cover and you're set for almost any dining experience.

Step #4 - Ambiance?

Candles are a wonderful touch. Scented candles in a glass jar add an extra special ambiance to your love basket. Perhaps you'd like to include an aroma that brings back memories of your first night together. I'd almost bet it's vanilla. Take a chance! Add in bath beads, salts, and bubbles if you expect to make a romantic evening of your Love Basket experience.

Step #5 - Frivolous Accessories

A slinky negligee for her, perhaps some boxers for him? Matching silk robes? Perhaps you'll want to skip the clothing and just get matching top hats? Whatever accessories you might choose, consider your personal choices and think from your lover's perspective. What might she appreciate?

Step #6 - Yummies

These can be anything from a full five course meal to decadent snacks, but I'd recommend for the first basket, you consider chocolates, gourmet foods, or delicate confections. Consider your plans for the evening and buy goodies accordingly. Perhaps dried fruits dipped in chocolate with an accompaniment of cheese and bread? Be original, be decadent, be romantic.

Step #7 - The Gift

Diamonds are nice. Sapphires twinkle. Rubies and Emeralds leave a lasting impression. If you haven't thought of the gift for your favorite love, this is the moment to seriously consider the gift you'll include in the Love Basket. No, the basket itself is the wrapping, not the ultimate gift. Wow your lady with diamonds!

If you haven't decided what to give your love for Valentine's Day yet, this is an awesome and reusable gift. Just refill for special evenings all year long. The Love Basket might even become a romantic tradition.

Valentine's Gifts - Be Romantic Because the Occasion Calls For It

There are many occasions in the year where one may often buy a gift for the recipient, whether it is for a birthday, anniversary or Christmas. There is one event in the calendar which I believe is quite unique. This occasion is Valentine's Day. It is unique in the fact that there are two words associated with this event. The two words are 'romance' and 'love'. I believe that a Valentine's gift should reflect these two words. Even if you are not romantic by nature it is the one occasion that you have and can be excused and appreciated for being romantic. In this short article I am going to highlight 5 romantic gifts that will truly express you love to your loved one.

Talking Rose- the gift truly is the epitome of the saying 'say it with roses'. The talking rose is a 'fake' but realistic looking rose that allows you to record your own personal message. The rose comes with a built in voice recorder, which allows you to personalise it with a 10 second message which plays back via the built in speaker. This makes the perfect gift for that special person in your life.

Personalised Message in a Bottle- What better way is there to tell someone you love them than to send them a Message in a Bottle. Inside the Message in a Bottle is some sand, sea-shells and your personalised message printed on parchment. The bottle is corked and tied with a coloured ribbon. Your message in a bottle is delivered in a specially made wooden box.

Sterling Silver Love Heart- Remember one of our childhood favourites - Love Heart sweets? Remember going through the packet and picking out your favourite love message? Brings back those warm fuzzy feelings doesn't it? Now you can spread the love with this grown up version of the classic romantic candy. Neatly packed in a simple box, this perfect replica of the classic sweet is the perfect token of affection. Made of sterling silver and hallmarked with the three precious words 'I LOVE YOU' making it perfect to give to the love of your life . They can carry it round everywhere with them as a constant reminder of your love. It's perfect to give to men or women and is ideal for almost any occasion, especially Valentine's Day.

Valentine's Headline Newspaper Gift- What an original idea! If you are looking for that truly unique personalised, yet romantic gift for Valentine's Day, then look no further. Declare your love on the front page of a personalised newspaper. All you have to do is provide the company with a completed personalisation form and required photos to be printed on the newspaper.

Name a Rose Gift Pack - The recipient of this gift will have a unique rose named after them and stored at the British Library. An easy-to-use growing guide helps even the most novice gardener to plant their rose successfully. Once the seeds are planted, the recipient follows the simple rose naming instructions, providing us with their details and their chosen rose name. This information is then entered into the International Rose Naming Registry and is submitted to the British Library.

I hope that these products have given you some inspiration to open your heart and express you love at Valentine's Day.

Valentine's Day Gift Ideas

Valentine’s Day gift ideas don’t have to be expensive, since there are many unique and creative gift ideas for anyone’s budget. It’s very important to give serious thought to what you know your special someone likes and enjoys when choosing a Valentine‘s Day gift, and what they do not like.

What type of gift you give also depends on the level of the relationship you’re in, such as dating and not yet serious, serious and planning to become engaged, or already married. Giving a very personal gift, such as lingerie or sexy undergarments, to someone you’ve only recently begun dating is not considered by many to be a wise choice.

If you’re in a serious relationship or are married, and you want to give the gift of lingerie, then be sure to keep in mind that the lingerie should also be comfortable for the wearer. I don’t know of anyone who would be happy to receive and wear lingerie that is uncomfortable and irritating to the skin, so be very careful in your choice if you go that route.

Valentine’s Day is one of my all-time favorite holidays. I’m a sappy romantic fool from head to toe, and I thoroughly enjoy planning early, choosing unique and creative gift ideas to show my husband how much he means to me. You won’t ever find me wandering the store aisles on February 14, rushing around at the last minute trying to find “something nice” to bring home to my man, because I’ve prepared well in advance and I’m ready-to-roll several weeks before the day arrives.

One year for Valentine’s Day, I sent my husband on a mini treasure hunt (but you don’t have to be married to do this). I had arranged for a nice lunch to be delivered to his office, since he’s usually tied up in meetings and wouldn’t have time to go out for lunch. With the lunch was a note saying that at 5 p.m. he had to leave work and “immediately become my love slave”, and that he must do whatever I asked the remainder of the evening without question. (He tried several times to call me at my office to find out what was going on, but I made sure that I was otherwise indisposed).

The note also asked him to go to the address shown on the card after work, and pick up what was being held for him in his name (a new sport jacket and tie). Once there, he was given the items and told to put them on, along with another personally handwritten card asking him to meet me at the address shown on that card, where he met up with me at a classy, fine-dining restaurant with an incredible view overlooking a large body of water.

It’s usually only on very special occasions, such as our anniversary, that we get all gussied up and go out on the town, so that Valentine‘s Day was not only fun but very romantic. If you ever decide to do something similar, a treasure hunt of your own, remember to keep the different destinations to a minimum because too many can become frustrating, ultimately bringing results completely opposite of what is intended.

Fortunately for me, my husband knows and understands how much I enjoy everything about romance, and he’s very good at coming up with unique and creative gift ideas for me too. One year he surprised me with a beautiful bouquet of flowers that arrived at my office, with a little note saying he loved me and asking that I pick up a bottle of wine on my way home. Once I arrived home, I walked in to find a candle-lit dinner waiting for me, soft romantic music playing in the background, followed by his giving me a beautifully engraved locket with a picture of my children inside. He had also purchased rose petals from the florist, and a gorgeous set of high-quality sheets, and decorated our bed and bedroom with rose petals and candles.

If your special someone is an avid book reader, you might consider purchasing the latest book by their favorite author, or one they have been meaning to buy for themselves. Consider searching online to see if there is an upcoming concert or sports event, for which you could buy tickets in advance and enjoy the event together.

Think about what your significant other likes and enjoys, and let that guide you in determining what would be the unique and creative gift idea for your someone special. Does your guy or gal enjoy chocolates? Don’t just grab the stuff in the candy aisle at the store, but carefully select something delectable from a famous chocolatier.

Valentine’s Day can be a fun and exciting holiday, made even more special by thoughtful early planning. Don’t wait until the last minute to call for dinner reservations at a romantic restaurant, only to find they‘re already filled to their limit. Calling well in advance of Valentine’s Day just might also provide you better choices of being seated in a more private and secluded section, away and out of ear-shot of other diners.

Valentines Day Golf Gifts

In present times, love and sports seem to increasingly making a fine combination. For certain high-class individuals, golf is a very dear game. Thus, golf items have automatically come to be a unique gift for Valentine's Day.

Golf accessories are the most obvious things to gift golf loving individuals. From leather carrying cases to aluminum clubs, all things that can add to the restricted charm of the game prove to be grand gifts on Valentine's Day. However, just because the choices are obvious, it does not mean that individuals cannot innovate. Golf, like any other gift theme, gives ample opportunity for individuals to get creative and come up with plans to show that they really care enough to do something more than just buy readymade gifts. For those who don't love golf but have dates, who do, have the opportunity to show how much they care by taking interest in the game and can plan a morning session of the game as a gift. This gesture not only pleases the partner immensely but also displays the love, affection, and sacrifice of the one who arranges the present.

To make the Valentines Day special and memorable, couples can create personalized gift articles that consider both love and golf. Such personalized gifts, cards and even chocolates and cakes are made available on various websites to commemorate the day. Certain websites also harbor facilities for lovers to register their partner for a short-term or long-term golf course. These courses might be made available for discounted prices, but hold a condition that the registration for the course should be done on Valentines day itself and not later. Certain sites also provide reservations to golf schools where one night luxurious stay is presented with candle lit romantic dinner with a bottle of champagne, flowers and a grand game of golf in the morning complete with a personal caddy. Reservations for these have to be made well in advance as there are limited seats and accommodations are given on a first come first serve basis.

Valentines Day Love Songs

Love has captivated hearts since the first inception of human beings, and yet no individual has succeeded in explaining the phenomenon. The best of orators and the most learned individuals have attempted and reached a zilch. But for poets, whose vision is beauty, words come together and make the readers see the meaning of love without even attempting to explain it. Ever since the times of emperors and queens, love songs have been created to articulate the undying love of individuals in unique ways. In today's times, presenting love songs on Valentines Day has become a popular means of expressing deep feelings of love, towards their respective beloveds, for most individuals.

For Valentine's Day, individuals have expectations, idyllic pictures of romantic evenings with the setting sun in the horizon and violins in performance, and there is no better way to bring this scenery alive than in form of a song. Love songs are expressions of unspoken feelings and thoughts of lovers about what they think of their partners and what their beloveds mean to them. They are often not rhymed but still convey to perfection the truth and sentiments of the lover.

Valentines Day love songs are either incorporated from the lyrics of well-known love songs and albums or originally created for the event. They are available in stores, imprinted on several V-Day cards and recorded in cassettes. During Valentines, certain local poets provide their services to general individuals and write love songs on their behalf for their love interests. Some enthusiastic lovers attempt to put their feelings into songs all by themselves. However, such songs might not qualify as lyrical ballads, they prove to be more valuable as the intention behind them is genuine and show the extent of the lovers' involvement and dedication towards their beloved.

Many websites supplement numerous love songs for Valentines Day. The users can browse the sites, select the songs of their choice, and either download or forward them to their loved ones.
